Temperament: Jackshunds are lively, loyal, intelligent little dogs that often enjoy playing and spending time with their families. They can do well with children, although older, responsible children may be a better fit because some Jackshunds can inherit the Dachshund’s longer back. Their intelligence makes them responsive to training, and consistent positive-reinforcement training with treats, praise, and clear routines can help them develop good manners.
The Jackshund is a cross between the Jack Russell Terrier and Dachshund. This mix is also sometimes called a Jackweenie. Whether you’re searching for a Jackshund, Jackweenie, or Jack Russell Dachshund mix, these small dogs combine characteristics of both parent breeds.
