Appearance and Needs of the Shichon

Size: 10-20 pounds
Color: Brown and White (Teddy Bear), Black and White (Panda Bear), White (Polar Bear)
Coat: Long, Thick, Straight or Wavy
Activity: Shichons are great for small homes with a small yard or no yard since they will play nicely indoors.  If there is space outdoors available, they will enjoy it, and are able to keep up with active families.
Grooming: For coats kept long, daily brushing is needed.  Keep ears clean and free of hair as well as nails trimmed.  For coats kept short, regular trimming recommended every 4-6 weeks.
Shedding: Shih Tzu and Bichons both are non-shedding dogs.  Shichons will not shed, so are good for people who suffer from allergies.
Life Expectancy: 12-15 years
